traq.food ("we", "our", "us") operates the traq.food mobile application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Data Collected

• Account information: Email address provided through Google or Apple Sign-In.
• Food photos: Photos you take or select to log meals.
• Nutrition data: Meal logs, calorie and macronutrient totals, and dietary preferences you set.
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• Analyze food photos using AI to estimate nutritional content.
• Display your meal history, daily totals, and progress toward goals.
• Improve the accuracy of our food-recognition models (aggregated, de-identified data only).

3. Storage & Security

• Data is stored on servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Photos are stored in AWS S3 with access restricted to your account.
• Photo analysis and AI-powered features are processed by trusted cloud AI providers (AWS and Alibaba Cloud), used only to recognize your food — never to advertise to you, build a profile, or train their models on your data.
• We use HTTPS for all API communication.

4. Third Parties

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: Used solely for authentication. We receive only your email address.
• AWS: Cloud infrastructure and AI processing provider. Subject to the AWS Privacy Notice.
• Alibaba Cloud: AI processing provider. Subject to the Alibaba Cloud Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• You can delete your account from the app settings. Upon deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate by signing in again.
• After the grace period, your data is permanently deleted.

6. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time through the app.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Withdraw consent for data processing (this may limit app functionality).
